DELTA is “Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages “which is one of Cambridge English Qualifications was designed for teachers with at least one year experience. Having DELTA qualification proves that you have gained a competent of methodology and approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. In addition to this, it shows to employers your current skills and practices in terms of teaching. DELTA is the highest exam type for English language teachers. This qualification gives teachers skills and techniques which will help them during their career while obtaining a sufficient knowledge of English language system. After taking the exam they are qualified to apply the key principles of syllabus design.
There’s a wide range of reasons why the teachers chooses DELTA qualification. For instance, anyone who desires to have this qualification they deepen their knowledge of English language teaching, by extending your expertise in a specialist area. Moreover, developing English language career and enhancing employment opportunities attract the teachers to start DELTA.
The Delta is an advanced mix of practice and theory which increases your knowledge and skills of English language teaching. There are 3 modules should be successfully completed in order to receive DELTA qualification.

1. Understanding Language, Methodology and Resources for Teaching
2. Developing Professional Practice
3. Option 1: Extending Practice and ELT Specialism Option 2: English Language Teaching Management

Format
DELTA has 3 formations, teachers can choose face-to-face, online and distance learning.

Results
Examination results are as following: Candidates can learn exam results about two months after the Delta Module One test dates in June and December. Certificates are sent to centres one week after results release. Where candidates enter for Delta Module Two only in October, results are known nearly one month after the submission deadline.
The grades awarded are:
• Pass with Distinction
• Pass with Merit
• Pass
• Fail
