What is the International Foundation Year?

The International Foundation Year is 3 term programme which fully prepares you for entry onto your bachelor’s degree programme. It has several intakes every year.

What will I study?

You will study a mixture of subject-specific, English language and Academic Study Skills content. The subject specific modules are carefully tailored to your chosen degree to ensure that you are fully prepared for year one of your Bachelor’s programme.

Teaching and Mentoring?

Foundation Year students enjoy small classroom sizes and individualized guidance. Triangular supervision through our experienced staff, a personal academic advisor, and a senior student mentor assures optimal chances for success: courses are taught by a team of highly qualified instructors who are experienced in creating a dynamic and interactive academic learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. Academic advisors guide each student through the program and support students in the process of making future plans. Senior students act as mentors to Foundation Year participants and share their own experiences in their respective fields of study.

What student support will I have?

You’ll be given full and comprehensive orientation into university life. From the moment you start your course a personal tutor will support your academic and personal development to help you get the most out of your time.
